The Journey Begins

Thanks for joining me! I decided to start a blog to keep me on task and sort out this craziness of a thing called life. My name is Laurie Justice hence the name of this blog. I have been a travel agent mostly booking corporate for the past 24 years. I am not a writer so I will apologize upfront for graphical errors. I was laid off in September 2017, at first it was ok I jumped right in and helped with harvest by hauling in all the grain. Then the holidays then spring break vacation….etc. Then realization and a little depression set in that I was a full time house wife and mom. I know that sounds odd, a lot of women dream of being able to do that but all I could think of is that I really suck at this. I’m not a PTO have dinner fixed and laundry all day kinda person. By working outside the home I had an excuse to not do those things. Well I no longer have those excuses, not to mention our income for dinners out and extras was gone. I have been praying for guidance in finding the right job for me and my family. I reached out to friends and past coworkers and did have a couple of leads and even a couple of interviews but nothing so far that is just right. Then I read somewhere to be happy where you are. Not sure why this struck me maybe right timing but I am happy where I am. It’s ok that I’m not a PTO mom, it’s ok that my house is not perfect if you stop by unexpectedly it’s all just OK. Join me and my daily craziness of farming, racing, kids activities, working on projects I have been dying to do but say I never have time and whatever comes up. There is always something unplanned unexpected whether good or bad that happens being married to my crazy husband.

Good company in a journey makes the way seem shorter. — Izaak Walton
